NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: India are four wickets down and in a spot of bother against New Zealand, following the dismissal of Virat Kohli. KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja aim to steady the ship as India eye a big total. Kohli (23 off 29) chopped-on a delivery from Kristian Clarke.
India captain Gill (56 off 53) hit a well-made half-century before giving his wicket to Kyle Jamieson. Rohit (24 off 38) was given his marching orders by Clarke in the 13th over.
New Zealand captain Michael Bracewell won the toss and opted to bowl at the Niranjan Shah Stadium. India made one change to their playing XI - Nitish Kumar Reddy replaced the injured Washington Sundar.
Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer performed well with the bat as India chased down a 301-run target to register a brilliant win the first ODI clash in Rajkot.
Virat Kohli will look to become the first Indian batter ever to register six consecutive 50-plus scores in ODIs. For New Zealand, Jayden Lennox was handed his ODI debut.
