Indian cricket fraternity welcomes 2026 with New Year greetings
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: Leading figures from Indian cricket extended warm New Year wishes on Thursday, ushering in 2026 with messages of hope, resilience, and positivity.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah wrote on X, wishing fans a “boundary-filled year” and hoping that dreams would “score big” in 2026. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also conveyed its greetings, saying, “Here’s wishing everyone a very Happy New Year.”
Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh shared an inspirational message, urging people to keep believing in themselves and continue pushing to be their best. “When the day gets tough, you don’t back down, you get up and do it again,” Yuvraj said, adding that he was grateful for the moments, people, and experiences that shaped the year gone by.
Ex-India captain Anil Kumble wished everyone a happy and healthy New Year, calling for “new beginnings and a prosperous 2026 for all.”
India head coach Gautam Gambhir also joined in the celebrations, posting a personal note as he welcomed the New Year “hand in hand with my favourites,” while extending his wishes to everyone for 2026.
