NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: The T20 series decider between India and Australia was abandoned due to rain, giving India a 2-1 series win. Only 4.5 overs of play was possible in Gabba with India scoring 52/0 before rain and lightning made no further play possible.
While Abhishek Sharma scored 23 off 13, Shubman Gill scored 29 off 16 before the players went off the field due to lightning. Later, rain arrived and even though the drizzle stopped in between, there was never a prolonged passage of no shower in which play could have resumed.
Ultimately, match officials called the match off.
