Trump signals possible Pakistan visit amid peace talks with Iran
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: US President Donald Trump on Thursday (local time) said he would consider travelling to Pakistan if a peace agreement between the United States and Iran is finalised there, indicating Islamabad's possible role in ongoing negotiations.
"I would go to Pakistan, yeah," Trump told reporters at the White House while en route to Las Vegas, Nevada. "If the deal is signed in Islamabad, I might go. They want me to go," he told the reporters.
Meanwhile, a 10-day ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel came into effect on Friday, after Trump announced on Thursday that both Israel and Lebanon had agreed to the temporary truce.
In a post on Truth Social, he said, “I just had excellent conversations with the Highly Respected President Joseph Aoun, of Lebanon, and Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, of Israel. These two Leaders have agreed that to achieve PEACE between their Countries, they will formally begin a 10 Day CEASEFIRE at 5 P.M."
Trump claimed that Iran has agreed to hand over 'nuclear dust' that was buried by last year’s US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron, with both leaders expressing concern over the situation in West Asia and calling for the urgent return of safety and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
In a post on X, PM Modi said the two leaders discussed the worsening regional crisis and agreed on the need to secure one of the world’s most strategically important sea routes.

In a statement on Truth Social, US President Donald Trump announced that the meeting between officials of Israel and Lebanon will happen tomorrow. He said, “Trying to get a little breathing room between Israel and Lebanon.”
He further mentioned, "It has been a long time since the two leaders have spoken, like 34 years. It will happen tomorrow.”
