Sensex jumps 1,200 points reclaiming 75,000 mark
MUMBAI [Maha Media]: Stocks in India took winning run to 2nd straight session on Wednesday, 25 March, 2026. The 30-share Sensex closed at 75,273.45 points, registering a gain of 1,205 points. Similarly, the 50-share Nifty settled on a strong note at 23,306.45 points.
Sectorally, all indices on the NSE closed with gains. Nifty consumer durables emerged as the highest gainer rising by 3.35% followed by realty, chemicals and media.
Earlier, on March 24, the stock market was up. The Sensex closed at 74,068 with a gain of 1,372 points (1.89%). Nifty also gained 400 points (1.78%), reaching 22,912. Banking and auto shares saw the most buying.
