Ashwini Vaishnaw to launch various rail services in Jodhpur

NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: The Union minister for Railways, IT and Information and Broadcasting, Ashwini Vaishnaw, will begin a two-day visit to Rajasthan today. During the visit, he will participate in several programmes and dedicate a number of new railway facilities to the state. The Railway Minister will arrive in Jodhpur at 11 a.m., where he will inaugurate various rail services. At the main function at Jodhpur Railway Station, he will flag off the 20-coach Jodhpur-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express, which was earlier operating with only eight coaches.

Mr Vaishnaw will also inaugurate the extension of the Sabarmati-Jodhpur Superfast Express up to Jaisalmer. He will further inaugurate the newly built coach care complex in Jaisalmer through video conferencing. From Jodhpur, the Railway Minister will travel to Jalore, where he will launch the Bhuj-New Delhi train service. The train will pass through several stations across the state. Later, he is scheduled to visit Pali to review redevelopment works being carried out under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

On Saturday, Mr Vaishnaw will attend a Rozgar Mela in Jaipur, where appointment letters will be distributed to newly recruited personnel in various Central Government offices. He will also hold discussions with representatives of the electronics and semiconductor industry.
