2024 Golden Globes: Complete Winners List
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: The Golden Globes are back with a fresh start after the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's troubles. This year's ceremony, marking the 81st edition, took center stage not just for its celebration of cinematic and television excellence but as a phoenix rising from the ashes of controversy.
"Barbie" topped movie nominations with nine nods, closely followed by "Oppenheimer" with eight. On the TV front, "Succession" led with nine nominations, while "The Bear" and "Only Murders in the Building" each secured five. Notably, Taylor Swift received a nomination for her Eras Tour concert film in a new category recognizing movies grossing over $100 million domestically and $150 million globally, alongside a new category for TV stand-up comedy specials.
The ceremony, which aired on CBS and Paramount+ at 8 p.m. Eastern time, brought home wins for "Oppenheimer" as Best Motion Picture (Drama), Lily Gladstone for Best Actress in a Motion Picture (Drama) in "Killers of the Flower Moon," and Paul Giamatti for Best Actor (Musical or Comedy) in "The Holdovers."
