Fantastic 4, Black Panther in Avengers Doomsday teaser with Namor

NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: Marvel has unveiled a new teaser for its upcoming blockbuster ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, offering fans a first look at the long-awaited union of Black Panther and the Fantastic Four.

Shared on Marvel’s official Instagram handle, the teaser follows the studio’s familiar announcement style previously used for Captain America, Thor, and the X-Men. This time, however, Marvel adds a touch of humour, something largely absent from earlier teasers.

Letitia Wright returns as Shuri, who assumed the mantle of Black Panther following Chadwick Boseman’s passing and her character’s journey in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).

Narrating the teaser, Shuri says, “I’ve lost everyone that matters to me. A king has his duties, to prepare our people for the afterlife. I have mine.”

The teaser also features brief appearances by Namor, clad in a black, comic-accurate costume, and his cousin Namora, played by Mabel Cadena.

From the Fantastic Four, only Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s Thing makes an appearance. In a lighthearted exchange, Namor refers to “King M’Baku of Wakanda,” prompting the Thing to introduce himself casually as, “Ben. Yancy Street between Broome and Grand.”

This marks the first on-screen interaction between the Fantastic Four and an established MCU character since the team’s debut in their alternate 1960s timeline in last year’s Fantastic Four: First Steps.

The end-credits scene of Thunderbolts had earlier hinted at their crossover into the main MCU timeline, paving the way for their involvement in Doomsday.

According to Variety, the Thunderbolts cast including Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell, Hannah John-Kamen and Lewis Pullman, will return for the massive ensemble film.

They will be joined by several familiar MCU faces such as Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Sebastian Stan, Paul Rudd, Tom Hiddleston and Simu Liu.

The teaser also confirms an X-Men crossover, featuring Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James Marsden, Kelsey Grammer, Alan Cumming, Channing Tatum and Rebecca Romijn.

‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 18.
