Salman case: : Two suspects detained by Mumbai crime branch
MUMBAI [Maha Media]: Mumbai crime branch has detained two suspects from neighbouring New Mumbai City within 24 hours after several rounds were fired outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's residence in Mumbai's posh Bandra locality, Mumbai Police crime branch officials said on Monday.
The case is currently being probed by the crime branch after an initial investigation by the local Bandra police. As per the police, five rounds were fired outside Salman's Galaxy Apartments in Bandra at 5 a.m. on Sunday by two bike-borne assailants. CCTV footage of the area shows that the two shooters have been identified by the police. As per sources in the Crime Branch, the bike that was used by the shooters was later found parked near Mount Mary Church, which is in close proximity to Salman's residence.
It may be recalled that one Anmol Bishnoi, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the attack on Sunday evening.
In a Facebook post, he stated that the firing was only a "trailer," and if Salman does not apologise to the Bishnoi community, he will have to face dire consequences.
