1st Test Day 1: India bowl out SA for 159

KOLKATA [Maha Media]: Jasprit Bumrah turned into India's chief destructor with the ball, picking 5 wickets for just 27 runs as South Africa were bowled out for 159 runs on Day 1 of the first Test in Kolkata. 

The likes of Mohammed Siraj (2 wickets), Kuldeep Yadav (2 wickets), and Axar Patel (1 wicket) were the other contributors with the ball as India took a giant step forward in dictating play in the series opener. For South Africa, opener Aiden Markram was the top-scorer, adding 31 runs to the team's total. 

Ryan Rickleton (23), Wiaan Mulder (24), and Tony de Zorzi (24) also got off to fine starts but failed to convert them into big totals.
