Pro Panja League Season 2 kicks off today in Gwalior

GWALIOR [Maha Media]: After hosting the Madhya Pradesh T20 League in June, Gwalior has added another major event to its sporting calendar. The entire second season of the Pro Panja League (PPL), India’s premier arm-wrestling competition, will be held in the city, making it one of the few tier-2 centres to host back-to-back franchise-based leagues.

The announcement was made at a pre-competition press conference on Monday at Jiwaji Club, where team owners and officials joined league co-founders Parvin Dabas and Preeti Jhangiani. A key highlight was the unveiling of a new franchise, MP Hathodas, giving Madhya Pradesh direct representation in the tournament.

"The city’s passionate supporters and the incredibly friendly reception we received during those 2022 mega matches is what really stood out for us," said Dabas.

"That kind of genuine passion and hospitality made Gwalior the perfect choice for the league. The city has a lot of potential."
