Rajnath inaugurates ‘Sansad Khel MahaKumbh’ in Lucknow
LUCKNOW [Maha Media]: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the ‘Sansad Khel MahaKumbh’ event in his parliamentary constituency, Lucknow on Monday. The three-day event is being organised at the KD Singh Babu Stadium in Lucknow.
The Maha Kumbh will feature competitions such as athletics, football, volleyball, kabaddi, taekwondo, basketball, hockey, and boxing. Demonstrations of traditional sports such as mallakhamb, kalaripayattu, and yoga will also be highlights. About 2400 players will participate in this event and showcase their sporting talent.
According to the administration, the competition is being held in two phases. In the first phase, junior and senior category competitions were held in the five assembly constituencies of Lucknow, that is, Lucknow Central, East, North, West, and Cantt. In the second phase, the winning players of these competitions will showcase their talent in the main Mahakumbh from 13th to 15th April.
