Once there lived a girl named Usha, the daughter of a demon named Banasur. One night, she dreamt about a man named Aniruddha. After the dream, she was eager to meet hiom. So, she asked her friend named Chitralekha to make sketches of the three worlds that included images of all the inhabitants.
Usha then laid her eyes on the sketch of Aniruddha and asked her to help her trace his whereabouts. She then explained to her friend that she got married to Aniruddha in her dreams and therefore, she won't be able to live without him being traced.
Chitralekha then decided to help Usha and started searching for Aniruddha and finally found him in Dwarika. Subsequently, she lifted the bed of Aniruddha at night while he was sleeping and reached Banasur's kingdom.
On the other hand, Pradyumna, the father of Aniruddha, was worried after his son went missing. Pradyumman was the eldest son of Shri Krishna and Rukmini. Eventually, Lord Krishna sought help from Rishi Lomash, who revealed the chain of events. The sage suggested Shri Krishna to keep a fast on Sankashti Chaturthi to get rid of the problem. A few days later, Shri Krishna defeated Banasur in a battle and rescued Aniruddha.
