SDM Celebrates New Year with Slum Children at Fly Foundation in Bhopal
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: The Sahasrasheersha Devi Mandal (SDM), the female wing of the Maharishi World Peace Movement, celebrated the New Year with slum children at the Fly Foundation, which is run by Ms. Divya Yadav in Harshvardhan Nagar, Bhopal.
The Fly Foundation is an NGO established in April 2020 that focuses on improving the lives of underprivileged children through education and menstrual hygiene awareness in slum areas.
The program began with an introduction of the slum children. During the celebration, cloth carpets, various stationery items, biscuits, and sweets were distributed to the children at the Fly Foundation. The Honorable Chairman of Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools Group, Brahmachari Girish Ji, conveyed his best wishes to everyone present.
Mrs. Arya Nandkumar, the National Secretary of Communication for the Maharishi World Peace Movement, expressed her gratitude to all the members of the Fly Foundation and praised their effective work. She introduced Maharishi Ji and his concept of Transcendental Meditation to the children and members of the Fly Foundation, encouraging them to learn Transcendental Meditation for a happier life.
Smt. Arya Nandkumar informed the children about Maharishi Ji and the Maharishi Organization, emphasizing the importance of Transcendental Meditation. She also shared her personal experiences with the practice.
Most members of the Sahasrasheersha Devi Mandal were present during the event. At the end of the program, Ms. Divya Yadav, on behalf of the Fly Foundation, along with the children, expressed their heartfelt thanks to everyone for the distribution of materials and sweets.
