BHOPAL (Maha Media): On International Meditation Day, hundreds of people gathered at the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Sansthan to engage in the transformative practice of Transcendental Meditation. This profound event was a collaborative effort organized by the Maharishi Vidya Mandir (MVM) Schools Group and the Maharishi World Peace Movement, under the esteemed guidance of Brahmachari Girish Ji, the distinguished Chairman of the Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools Group.

Addressing the audience from the revered Maharishi National Office in Lambakheda, Brahmachari Girish Ji delivered enlightening insights into the essence of Transcendental Meditation. He passionately recalled how Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ji, brought yoga and meditation to the forefront not only in India but across many nations around the globe. His tireless dedication was instrumental in establishing the global observance of Yoga Day and Meditation Day, a testament to the growing recognition of these practices worldwide. Expressing heartfelt gratitude, Girish Ji acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi for elevating the significance of these observances on the international stage.

Diving into the realm of scientific inquiry, Brahmachari Girish Ji shared compelling insights into the research surrounding Transcendental Meditation. He revealed that studies conducted in approximately 30 countries have shown remarkable findings, with over 700 studies from 135 esteemed institutions underscoring Transcendental Meditation as the most effective method for enhancing well-being. With conviction, he asserted that world peace is not merely a dream but an achievable reality through the practice of Transcendental Meditation. He called upon everyone to engage in regular meditation, emphasizing its profound benefits for individuals, families, communities, and nations alike. Consistent practice fosters a serene mind, radiating positive energy that can uplift everyone around.

Prof. Bhuvnesh Sharma, former Vice-Chancellor of Maharishi Vedic University, elucidated the profound mechanisms of the technique. V.R Khare, Director CPR, highlighted the importance of Brahmachari Girish Ji’s commitment to preserving the legacy of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, reiterating the necessity of regular meditation for all. The celebration commenced with a heartfelt Guru Pujan, paying homage to spiritual traditions, followed by a soul-nourishing 20-minute group meditation. The event brought together directors, staff, teachers, and students from the Maharishi Vidya Mandir schools, all united in their shared journey towards inner peace and collective harmony.
