Grand celebration of Gyan Yug Diwas at Maharishi Institutions
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: The 109th birth anniversary of the internationally acclaimed consciousness scientist and founder of Transcendental Meditation, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ji, will be celebrated with grand festivities as "Gyan Yug Diwas" (Age of Enlightenment Day) on January 12. The event will be graced by the Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Hon’ble Rajendra Shukla Ji, and Brahmachari Girish Ji, the head of Maharishi Group of Educational Institutions. During the two-day celebration, Brahmachari Girish will detail Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's global efforts in championing Indian culture, Vedic science, and meditation, followed by a keynote address from Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla on the Maharishi's enduring legacy.
As part of the proceedings, a significant seminar titled "Establishing World Peace through Science and Technology" will feature a distinguished panel of national and international scholars and scientists. Key speakers include Prof. Pramod Kumar Verma, Vice Chancellor of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic Vishwavidalaya; Dr. Sudhir Mishra renowned missile scientist from DRDO; Dr. Niloy Khare, advisor to the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises; and consciousness scholar Prof. Bhuvnesh Sharma, former Vice Chancellor of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic Vishwavidalaya,. They will be joined by Prof. Chetan Singh Solanki , educator and researcher and Dr. Uma Kumar from AIIMS New Delhi, who will share their insights on how modern innovation can be synthesized with spiritual wisdom to foster global harmony.
The second day of the festivities on January 13, will shift toward cultural celebrations held from 2:15 PM to 4:00 PM, featuring devotional songs and dance performances by students of the Maharishi Center for Educational Excellence and Bhopal's Maharishi Vidya Mandir, along with a special presentation by ex student from Sultanpur, Nandini Kasaudhan. This will be followed by a soulful musical session titled "Bhajanamrit" featuring acclaimed artists, including singer Jitendra Singh, tabla maestro Pandit Anoop Ghosh, flutist Atul Shankar, and percussionist Satish Kumar Solanki.
The event is organized under the divine blessings of Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj at the Maharishi Utsav Bhawan in Chhan, Bhopal. This collaborative effort by the Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools Group, the Maharishi World Peace Movement, and Maharishi Ved Vigyan Vishwa Vidyapeetham is expected to draw hundreds of teachers, staff and students.
