Acharya Chaturvedi Ji unveils creation story at Maharishi Ashram

PRAYAGRAJ (Maha Media): On the auspicious occasion of Maha Kumbh 2025, a grand Kathamrit Pravah of Shri Shiv Mahapuran is underway at the Maharishi Ashram, located on the banks of the Sangam in Arail. The event is being organized under the guidance of Brahmachari Girish Ji, a devoted disciple of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

Today, Acharya Chaturvedi Ji commenced the discourse with a deep dive into the Rudra Samhita, the first section of the sacred text dedicated to creation of Universe. He emphasized the profound teachings of Sut Ji to Shaunak Ji, highlighting the importance of immersing oneself in the stories of Lord Shiva to attain spiritual purity, even for those burdened by sins and negative emotions.

According to Acharya Ji, in the beginning, only Shiva and Shiva existed. They created Vishnu for the purpose of creation. Vishnu, upon inquiry, was instructed to perform severe austerities. The sweat from Vishnu's body transformed into vast oceans, upon which he reclined. A lotus emerged from his navel, giving birth to Brahma.

However, ego arose between Brahma and Vishnu, leading to a dispute over superiority. Brahma ascended to the heavens, and Shiva sent a ketaki flower to appease him. Brahma, in a bid to prove his superiority, tricked the flower into lying. Enraged, Shiva revealed himself in all his glory, filling the universe with light.

When Brahma inquired about the source of this light, Vishnu explained it to be the radiant pillar of Shiva and Shiva. Shiva then created a being from his brow hair, ordering him to behead Brahma. This being, known as Kala Bhairava, decapitated Brahma's fifth head. Brahma, humbled by this experience, attained knowledge and tranquility.

Shiva cursed Brahma, stating that he would never be worshipped and that the ketaki flower would never be offered to him. However, upon their repentance, Shiva instructed the flower to fall on a specific spot, where a temple dedicated to Brahma would be built. This place is now known as Pushkar and houses the only temple dedicated to Brahma.

Shiva also revealed that the city of Kashi was the first to be created and that Kala Bhairava was its first guardian.

The Shri Shiv Mahapuran Kathamrit Pravah will continue until January 28. All events and programs are being broadcast live on Ramraj TV and are also available on their YouTube and Facebook channels.
