International Yoga Day conveys message of world peace: Brahmachari Girish Ji

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: 11th International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Institute, where Brahmachari Girish Ji, Chairman of Maharishi Vidya Mandir School Group and a master of Vedic knowledge, stated that "Yoga, one of the 40 fields of Vedic knowledge, has received international recognition so far. There are 39 more fields that also deserve recognition."

Brahmachari Girish Ji emphasized that International Yoga Day conveys a message of world peace. He highlighted that Vedic knowledge possesses preventive and proactive wisdom. "Therefore, our preventive wisdom is that wars should not happen. Establishing peace is possible through the path of peace, and this is only possible through preventive measures," he added.

Brahmachari Girish Ji quoted His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ji, stating, "Yoga Vidya is a specific knowledge that bestows the goal of life," and elaborated on various types of yoga. He explained that the outcome of all these forms of yoga is the success of one's actions. "When we are established in yoga, things naturally align with nature. We have all attained complete yoga with the blessings of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ji, and we must maintain its continuity. "Everyone should commit to practicing yoga and Transcendental Meditation continuously every morning and evening," he urged.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Bhuvanesh Sharma, former Vice-Chancellor of Maharishi Vedic University, said, "Yoga does not merely mean yoga postures; rather, being established in the Self is yoga. In all our Maharishi Vidya Mandir schools, yoga and Transcendental Meditation are practiced daily. Therefore, when consciousness knows itself, yoga happens." He further stated that by being established in the Self, we connect with universal consciousness.

On this occasion, students from various Maharishi Vidya Mandir schools in Bhopal collectively practiced Surya Namaskar, Pranayama, Transcendental Meditation, and various yoga postures. The program commenced with the traditional Guru Parampara Pujan and Shanti Path, performed by five Vedic pundits chanting sacred mantras.

Dignitaries present on the dais included VR Khare, Director of Communications & Public Relations for Maharishi Vidya Mandir School Group; Smt. Arya Nandkumar, National Communications Secretary of Maharishi World Peace Movement; Akhilesh Srivastava, Director of Construction for Maharishi Vidya Mandir School Group; B.P.
