Shiv Puran: A path to divine bliss, says Acharya Ramvilas Ji
PRAYAGRAJ [Maha Media]: On Thursday, Maharishi Vedic Pandits conducted 1,331 Paaths and Havans of the Rudrashtadhyayi for the welfare of the entire world at the Maharishi Ashram, located on the banks of the Sangam in Arail, Prayagraj. The ceremony was attended by Ved Vidya Martand, Brahmachari Girish Ji.
The second day of the Shri Shiv Mahapuran Kathamrit Pravah by renowned Katha Vyas, Acharya Ramvilas Chaturvedi Ji Maharaj commenced today’s katha with Vedic Chants and prayer unto the lotus feet of Lord Shiva sanctifying the outer and inner surroundings. Acharya Chaturvedi Ji highlighted the significance of the Shiv Puran, a sacred Hindu text dedicated to Lord Shiva. Responding to a query by Shaunakji about the correct method of listening to the Shiv Puran, Maharshi Vyasa’s disciple, Sutji, provided profound insights.
.
Sutji emphasized that while the Shiv Puran can be recited or listened to at any auspicious time, the month of Shravan is considered particularly auspicious for this purpose. The tale of Chanchala and her husband Bindug, who attained salvation by listening to the Shiv Puran, serves as a testament to its power.
The discourse stressed the importance of listening to the Shiv Puran with complete devotion and restraint. Those who recite or listen to it with love and devotion are considered virtuous and are blessed by Lord Shiva with a place in his divine abode. Regular worship of the Shiv Puran ensures a life of happiness and ultimate liberation.
Acharya Chaturvedi Ji stating that the Shiv Puran encompasses all aspects of life, offering spiritual, material, and emotional fulfillment. He urged devotees to listen to and read this sacred text with devotion and reverence to attain the highest spiritual goals.
Chaturvedi Ji explains that when a sin or wrongdoing is committed outside of a holy or religious area, individuals have the opportunity to seek purification through acts of charity and by taking a ritual bath in a sacred location. However, he emphasizes that sins committed within a religious area carry a different weight. Such actions cannot be easily forgiven or erased, and the repercussions of these sins are seen as permanent.
Acharya Ramvilas Chaturvedi Ji Maharaj stated that the meditative pose of Lord Shiva symbolizes peace that helps one to overcome everyday battles and sort out issues. In today’s time too, every human needs to practice meditation regularly. Prayagraj is referred to as Brahmlok in the Shiva Mahapuran. Everyone present here has the good fortune of being here by the grace of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ji. Therefore, you should practice daily Sandhya Vandana and Transcendental Meditation, and follow the traditions established by Maharishi Ji.
The Shri Shiv Mahapuran Kathamrit Pravah will continue until January 28.
In the evening, a delightful cultural program was presented by selected students from Maharishi Vidya Mandir at Maharishi Ashram. The program began with a welcome song, followed by the Saraswati Vandana. In honor of the first anniversary of the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol at the Ayodhya temple, a group song was performed to pay tribute to Lord Ram. The students of MVM also presented a colorful rendition of Shiv Tandav and Shiv Stuti.
