"We Are Proud Bearers of Indian Culture": Brahmachari Girish Ji
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: The three-day Maharishi National Cultural Celebration 2025 commenced with great enthusiasm at the Maharishi Centre for Educational Excellence (MCEE) in Bhopal on Tuesday.
The inaugural function was honored by the inspiring presence of Ved Vidya Martand Brahmachari Girish Ji, the Chairman of the Maharishi Group of Educational Institutions.
In his speech inaugurating the event, Brahmachari Girish Ji first welcomed all the students participating in this divine cultural celebration, calling them winners. "You are all winners. You did not come here for competition; you have already faced and won that challenge. That is why we do not call it the Maharishi National Cultural Competition; we named it the Maharishi National Cultural Celebration. Competition is something we face every day, every moment in our lives. We have solutions to face the competition and guidelines for that. You do not need to do anything for any competition; you are already trained in it. Every day, twice a day, morning and evening, you practice Transcendental Meditation, the TM Siddhi Program, and Yogic Flying. That is the key to facing and winning the competition. Maharishi has provided a phrase: competition is for competent people, not for incompetent people. Through our morning and evening practice, diving deep into transcendental consciousness, we train ourselves to be competent and, therefore, do not have to worry about competition."
Brahmachari Ji emphasized pride in their heritage, saying, "We are proud to be bearers of Indian culture because we are advancing the knowledge we received from our Gurudev Brahmanand Saraswati and Param Pujya Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ji." He described the cultural festival as a "Cultural Kumbh," where the diverse cultures of the nation converge. He highlighted that the knowledge of Dharma, culture, and Maharishi Ji, which originated years ago, continues to spread globally. The Maharishi Vidya Mandir School Group, with over 6,500 teachers and more than 100,000 students, is India's largest school group, continuously raising the banner of Indian knowledge tradition and culture.
"The expansion of our knowledge, culture, and self-consciousness is a global endeavor. This land of Bharat, where we are born, is revered worldwide. Our Gurus, Maharishis, and Rishis of the Vedic Sanatana Dharma are worshipped globally because we are all children of Mother India," he asserted, adding, "Our goal is to make all of you Global Leaders." He mentioned that Maharishi Ji had instructed him to prepare hundreds of global leaders, a direction he is actively pursuing.
Earlier, V.R. Khare Ji informed the gathering that a total of 406 students from 51 Maharishi Schools across India participated in this event this year. Khare Ji also thanked Brahmachari Girish Ji for agreeing to include sub-junior group students alongside senior students in this divine cultural event, reminding everyone that Girish Ji always says that young children learn quickly and gave their best performances.
Prof. Bhuvnesh Sharma Ji, former Vice-Chancellor of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic Vishwavidyalaya, expressed his joy at being part of the inauguration program of the MNCC. He noted the significance of Tuesday, 'Mangalwar,' a day dedicated to Lord Hanuman Ji, who gives us strength, wisdom, and develops our intellect. He stated that all three aspects are embodied in this day. He also mentioned that today is an auspicious 'Saptami Tithi,' which maintains the balance of nature, and encouraged participants to strive for better performances, as judges would determine the results. He added, "I am sure students from different parts of the country will perform well; you all are our future generations intentionally showing an ideal way of living. Maharishi culture is unique; here we harness all the laws of nature within individuals, fostering full development through performances like these."
In his address, Prakash Chandra Joshi, Executive Director, stressed that the institution's objective is not just modern education but rather providing the knowledge system of Indian Vedic culture, with Transcendental Meditation and Siddhi as key components. He called the event a great opportunity to promote the spirit of universal brotherhood alongside national unity.
On this occasion, several dignitaries were present, including BP Tiwari, Director of Accounts; Akelesh Srivastav; Manish Sinha, Additional Director of Finance; Yatish Saxena, Additional Director of P&A; Manish Mandnik, Additional Director of Computer Education; and Smt.
