The elephant-headed obstacle remover is coming to celebrate the 10-day festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. The Ganpati festival is celebrated in the honour of the god of new beginnings. The festival includes installation and worshiping of clay idols of the Ganesha in various public shrines as well as in household temples.

The 10-day festival is celebrated with huge pomp and fervor and ends on Anant Chaturdashi. Ganesh Chaturthi is the most popular and extravagant festival celebrated across India, but it is most elaborately celebrated in Maharashtra.

This auspicious day is dedicated to worship Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu is also known as Anant, which means endless.
