2nd Day of Sahasrachandi Mahayagya at Maharishi Sansthan
BHOPAL (Maha Media): The spiritual festivities of Chaitra Navratri are currently underway with profound Vedic rituals at the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Sansthan. In line with a longstanding tradition, the Swami Brahmanand Saraswati Ashram, located on Bhojpur Road in Chan, Bhopal, is hosting the Sri Sahasrachandi Mahayagya along with the recitation of Sri Durga Saptashati.
On the second day of the festival, 121 Vedic scholars gathered to worship Maa Brahmacharini, the second form of Goddess Durga. The atmosphere filled with Vedic chanting as the scholars performed the rituals with devotion according to ancient texts. The Sahasrachandi Mahayagya followed morning prayers and continued until early afternoon.
The Mahayagya will reach its peak on the final day, March 27, which is also the birthday of Lord Ram. A Kanya Bhoj will take place at 1:00 PM to mark the end of the festival. Many officials, staff members of the Maharishi Sansthan, and devotees attended to receive blessings.
On the first day of Chaitra Navratri and the Vedic New Year, also known as Gudi Padwa, Brahmachari Girish Ji, the head of the Sansthan, extended heartfelt greetings to the nation. In his message, he emphasized that Indian society carries deep-rooted social and cultural traditions. He encouraged everyone to celebrate the Vedic New Year, Gudi Padwa, and Ugadi with joy and adherence to Vedic rituals. He expressed his sincere wish that these values and traditions continue to bring happiness, prosperity, and enthusiasm into everyone's lives.
