Maharishi Sansthan marks 7th day of Sahasrachandi Mahayagya
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: The Chaitra Navratri celebrations are in full swing at the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Sansthan this Saturday. The seventh day is dedicated to worshiping Maa Kalaratri, a powerful form of Goddess Parvati. The Sri Sahasrachandi Mahayagya and the recitation of the Sri Durga Saptashati are happening at the Swami Brahmanand Saraswati Ashram on Bhojpur Road in Chan, Bhopal.
Brahmachari Girish Ji, the Chairman of the Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools Group, leads 121 Vedic Pandits in honoring Maa Kalaratri. They perform Vedic chants, followed by the Sahasrachandi Mahayagya and Arti. Many officials, staff from the Maharishi Sansthan, and devotees join the rituals to seek blessings.
The festival will conclude with Ram Navami, which celebrates the birth of Lord Ram. The celebrations will also include Kanya Bhoj, where young girls, viewed as embodiments of the divine feminine, are offered food.
Maa Kalaratri, worshiped on Saptami during Navratri, is known for her fierce nature. She fights against ignorance, demons, and negative energies. With her dark complexion, she rides a donkey and has four arms that hold a sword and an iron club, providing both protection and blessings to her devotees.
