Maha Kumbh preparations in full swing at Maharishi Ashram

PRAYAGRAJ [Maha Media]: Preparations for the upcoming Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj are in their final stages. The well-known Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram is also fully prepared to host the grand Maha Kumbh Mela in the holy city of Prayagraj, the land of pilgrimage. 

Hon'ble Chairman of Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools Group, Brahmachari Girish Ji recently visited Maharishi Ashram in Prayagraj to review various preparations for Maha Kumbh Mela 2025. As a gesture of honor and respect, the Maharishi Vedic Pandits warmly welcomed Brahmachari Ji, adorning him with a traditional Tilak, shawl, and garland. 

On this special occasion, Brahmachari Girish Ji invited people from all over the world to come to India and immerse themselves in devotion and spirituality during the sacred and rare days of Maha Kumbh. He encouraged everyone to visit Maharishi Ashram and learn Transcendental Meditation Technique. Girish Ji also took the time to tour the Maharishi Smarak, where he reviewed the progress of the ongoing completion work. 

During the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela, a variety of special programs have been organized at the Maharishi Ashram, including sacred baths, meditation sessions, charitable activities, Vedic recitations, and devotional Bhajans. Attendees can also look forward to enlightening discourses by Vedic scholars, as well as Yoga Asanas and consultations on health and astrology. This grand occasion will feature Yagya Anushthan, a gathering of revered figures such as Shankaracharya, Acharya, Mahamandaleshwar, Mandaleshwar, and various saints, offering their blessings to all. Additionally, the event will showcase Kathamrit Pravah and spectacular performances of devotional music.

Maharshi Ashram, located at Sangam Ghat, Arail, will host various daily activities. From 9 AM to 1 PM, there will be an Ati Rudrabhishek Yagna, Havan, and Aarti. Following this, a Kathamrit Pravah will take place from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. In the evening, enjoy a Bhajan Sandhya featuring renowned artists from 8 PM to 9:30 PM. 

Throughout the day, from 8 AM to 8 PM, there will also be programs including astrology and health consultations, as well as training in Yogasana, Pranayama, and Bhavatit Dhyan.

During the Maha Kumbh, Veda Vidya Martand Brahmachari Girish Ji will grace the event as the keynote speaker. He will be joined by a distinguished group of experts, including Professor Pramod Verma, Vice Chancellor of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic University; Professor Bhuvanesh Sharma, former Vice Chancellor of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic University; and Vijay Ratna Khare, the Director of Communication and Public Relations. Additionally, Arvind Singh Rajput, a former registrar and advisor, Vedraj Madhusudhan Deshpande, President of the Ojas Foundation, and Nitesh Parmar, Editor of Mahamedia Magazine and a spiritual speaker, will provide comprehensive guidance to all visitors attending the ashram.

The Katha Amrit Pravah program will begin on January 15 and continue until January 21. During this week, the Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran Katha Amrit Pravah will be held, led by the esteemed and world-renowned Acharya Shri Badrish Ji Maharaj. From January 22 to January 28, Acharya Shri Ramvilas Chaturvedi will lead the Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha Amrit Pravah. Afterward, from January 29 to February 4, devotees will have the opportunity to experience the Shri Ram Katha Amrit Pravah. This engaging session will be presented by the melodious Acharya Shri Krishnadas Ji Maharaj, who is known for his sweet singing and storytelling ability. Finally, from February 6 to February 12, the program will conclude with the Shri Devi Bhagwat Mahapuran Katha Amrit Pravah, conducted by Acharya Dr. Nilimp Tripathi. 

Cultural programs will take place daily from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM during the month-long Kumbh festival. These programs will feature famous artists including bhajan singer Anuradha Agasti, Ramayana and bhajan artist Pandit Lakshikant Kandpal, and classical singer Tarang Kandpal. People can also enjoy performances by tabla player Pandit Anup Ghosh, tabla and santoor player Dr. Shrikant Agasti, and Sitar player Professor Ravi Sharma. These musicians will create a joyful atmosphere and inspire devotion among the audience.

The Mahakumbh will begin with the Paush Purnima Snan, which is on 13 January 2025. The Kumbh festival will conclude with the final bath on 26 February 2025, the day of Mahashivratri.
