Maharishi Institute Celebrates World Meditation Day at MCEE Campus in Bhopal

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: The Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Institute celebrated World Meditation Day at its national office located in Lambakheda, Bhopal, on Saturday, December 20, a day earlier than the traditional date of December 21. The event was organized jointly with the Maharishi Vidya Mandir (MVM) Schools Group and the Maharishi World Peace Movement, under the esteemed leadership of Brahmachari Girish Ji, the Hon'ble Chairman of the Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools Group.

During the event, Ved Vidya Martand Brahmachari Girish Ji delivered an inspiring address to the gathering that included a large number of teachers, directors, staff, students, and other members of the Maharishi family. His speech emphasized the importance of meditation in fostering inner peace and global harmony. Following his address, all attendees participated in a collective session of Transcendental Meditation, reinforcing the message of peace and unity through shared practice.

World Meditation Day is a significant occasion to honor His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ji, who was instrumental in introducing the technique of Transcendental Meditation to individuals around the globe. Maharishi Ji famously stated, "The world is as we are," highlighting his belief that a peaceful world starts with peaceful individuals. He asserted that when a small group of individuals meditates together, they create a powerful "vibe" of peace that can help reduce crime, anxiety, and tension within their communities. To promote this vision, Maharishi Ji established Maharishi Vidya Mandir schools across India, providing students with the opportunity to learn meditation alongside core academic subjects like mathematics and science. His overarching goal was to ensure that students grow into not just intelligent individuals but also calm, content, and well-rounded members of society.

The celebration also marked the birth anniversary of Guru Dev Swami Brahmananda Saraswati Ji Maharaj. Maharishi Ji often expressed that his worldwide movement was a vehicle to share the profound "light of knowledge" he received from his own master. By celebrating World Meditation Day, the institute pays tribute to this sacred legacy and the timeless Vedic wisdom that continues to guide millions of people toward spiritual growth and enlightenment.

The program was streamed live on Ramraj TV's website as well as its official YouTube and Facebook channels, ensuring that people from around the world could join in on the celebrations and experience the power of meditation.
