Two-day Guru Purnima Celebration Begins at Maharishi Institutions

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: The Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Sansthan commenced its two-day Shri Guru Purnima festival on Wednesday, in Bhopal, marking the beginning of a grand celebration dedicated to honoring the revered Guru. The festivities are being guided by Ved Vidya Martand Brahmachari Girish Ji, the esteemed head of the Maharishi Sansthan.

In line with the ancient Vedic tradition of disciples dedicating their achievements and seeking blessings from their Guru, today's events set the tone for tomorrow's main Guru Purnima ceremony. Param Pujya Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ji famously dedicated all his accomplishments to Anant Shri Vibhushit Jyotishpeethoddharak Gurudev Brahmanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj, and this cherished tradition continues under Brahmachari Girish Ji's leadership.

This afternoon, at 3:30 PM, the Gurudev Brahmanand Saraswati Ashram in Bhopal hosted a soulful "Bhajan Amrit" program. Renowned Bhajan singer Ms. Atri Kotal captivated the audience with her melodious renditions, accompanied by a talented ensemble featuring Pandit Anoop Ghosh on harmonium, Lalit Sisodia on tabla, and Shri Amar Bhola on dholak. The performance, which began with a revered Guru Bhajan, seamlessly transitioned into a series of melodious renditions, including popular devotional songs like "Ramchandra Kripalu Bhajaman", "Payoji Maine Ramratan Dhan Payo" and "Man Hari Bol."

Brahmachari Girish Ji enjoyed melodious Bhajans with all the Directors, Officers, Teachers, Vedic Pandits and other members of Maharishi family in the audience gallery. Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) M.K. Singh of Central Security Force, Bhopal was present as the special guest on this occasion.

The celebrations will culminate tomorrow, July 10th, with the traditional Guru Pujan ceremony performed by Ved Vidya Martand Brahmachari Girish Ji. He will then present the collective annual achievements of the Maharishi Sansthan to the lotus feet of Shri Gurudev and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ji, symbolizing profound gratitude and respect.

Tomorrow's program will also feature addresses from distinguished guests, including Prof. Bhuvnesh Sharma, former Vice-Chancellor of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic University, and Dr. Prakash Joshi, Vice President of Maharishi Shiksha Sansthan. Madhusudan Deshpande, Director of the Maharishi Multi Specialty Ayurveda Health Awareness Program, will also share insights.

Throughout this two-day festival, Maharishi institutions nationwide, including 153 Maharishi Vidya Mandir schools, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic University, Maharishi University of Technology and Management, Maharishi Colleges, Maharishi Kids Home, Maharishi Vishwa Vidyapeetham, and all branches of the Maharishi Vishwa Shanti Andolan, are collectively dedicating their achievements to Shri Guru, seeking blessings for future success and guidance.
